We have a Monday night burger group that meets once a month in the winter and weekly in the summer. We ride our motorcycles in the summer. We have been disappointed with some of the places that offer 50% off burgers on Monday. Even though the burgers are regular price, I knew how great they are at Shortstop, I suggested we try it out. The group that went today, loved it! Our server Kristen, was an absolute gem! I will just have to convince the snow birds to go there come springtime.
Food come out fast and tasted great! Kristen checked on us (we don't drink alcohol) many times throughout our stay. I, myself, left a great tip (cash) for her and I know one of my friends did too. We will be back!
Added bonus is that dogs are allowed on the patio and are even given water and a treat! Niko will be there on the motorcycle this spring/summer!
The broccoli bites were recommended by a friend. I had never heard of them. I was seriously surprised. They were delicious and the service was amazing.
Great neighborhood bar and grill. A relative just moved into the area and learned about this place. He loved it and has been eating here for weeks so we decided to give it a shot. All three of us ordered burgers and they were amazing. And the tots were crisp outside and tender inside. I look forward to eating here again!
Tip: burgers are great. Fries are great. Get Bleu cheese dressing to dip fries, tasty.
Cod fish sandwich was terrible. Fish stick on a lesser hoagie bun. Commercial tarter sauce. Eww. Don't, just don't.
Philly was very salty, meat dry. No.
The staff is great, burgers are great. Drinks are good, pull tab, trivia, and bingo are great.
I've heard many times that the Shortstop had great burgers, so I decided to check it out myself. It did not disappoint. Great burger! I will definitely be going back. Great service too. Thank you for a great first visit!
Stopped to meet friends who recommended this place and one of our group used to dine here years ago. Sportsbar, great atmosphere an patio eating area with TV, Bar is beautiful. Burgers are to die for :) Dont miss the experience an name your own rock or bring your own to mark your spot
Was one of my favorite places. Went downhill quick. 15 dollars for a few tots and 5-6 dummies. Second time in a row. The food is good, but not worth the skimpy portions. Find a place with better value. It was the basket, not the appetizer... Too sad. Was a great place.
I’m giving one star but their people in general are pretty nice there, never had a rude or bad server. Their burgers used to be good, but they’re terrible now. Used to be huge round nice looking patties, now they look like the ones you make at home with ground beef. See the picture. Tonight I had to return for cheese curds they forgot to put in my bag (the guy checked the receipt and looked in the bag before giving it to me). After my second trip, looked at the curds and they were half fresh looking, half old grey curds. Hard to see in the pic but I tried. The burger was dry. Not being over dramatic either, there were no juices left at all. And everything cold. I think our years of patronage here are done.
Update, manager was super nice. As I said service is always great. Burger on the other hand… still dry. Updated picture below. Curds were better this round, but that’s about all I ate. Very disappointing.
